OK, time to stop complaining and actually DO something…..to help make metro Atlanta a much safer place to ride. Read the information below and then take a few minutes to complete an online survey.
I equate this to voting: if you don’t vote, then you willingly choose to give up your right to complain.
|Where we are going? How we should get there? Seriously. We need your help.
The transportation portion of the 18-county* region’s blueprint for growth is due for an update, and our area’s planning agency, the Atlanta Regional Commission, has asked the Civic League to help engage a diverse cross-section of metro residents in revisiting the region’s transportation needs and wants. Of course we said, “Yes!”
First order of business: A name for this exciting project, and after much debate, we settled on “Metro Atlanta Matters: Your Voice. Your Community. Your Region.” It’s regional, it’s local, and in keeping with the Civic League’s mission, it’s focused on the people of the region.
Second order of business: We need some direction from YOU. Please take a few minutes to complete this brief community engagement survey. Your responses will help determine how we involve community members in the planning process going forward.
And once you’ve completed the survey, we have one more favor to ask: Please forward it on to at least two other people (or maybe more — your book club? your neighborhood association? your co-workers?).
Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you!
