Well, all I have to say is, here is another perfect example of the power of social media…in a good/positive light. What I mean is that several folks had reached out to Georgia Bicycle Racing Association (GBRA), only to fall on deaf ears and as you would expect, that created a bit of frustration. Bottom line, folks just wanted to be heard and given the opportunity to share their voice on GBRA’s decision. And, that’s exactly what happened.
With the article below, not only did GBRA open their ears, they opened their minds…so much so, that (I have to assume) the proposals they were asking folks to submit, must have had enough merit for them to reverse their earlier decision on eliminating the female junior championship category.
In short, the process worked and, in this case, even the final outcome was one that everyone is embracing. Kudo’s to everyone who got involved and submitted proposals. I did.
