Dear Teardrop Riders and Bike List Friends:
We’re just ten days out from the 4th Annual Teardrop Century and Metric Century on Saturday, September 6th at 9 a.m., and we are looking forward to a great event, especially with the addition of our full 102-mile century route.
Remember that your donations go directly to support the work of the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Athens, (www.ihnathens.org), which provides emergency shelter for homeless families with children in Athens, Oconee County, and Northeast Georgia.  Find Teardrop signup links at http://www.ihnathens.org/teardrop-bike-ride.html.
Here are the ride details you will need to know.  Please let me know if I’ve left anything out, or if you have any other questions.
Pre-ride registration and packet pickup at the Hub Bicycles, 1220 South Milledge Avenue, Athens, on Friday, September 5th, from 5-7 p.m. (We accept checks, cash, and credit cards).
Day-of-ride registration and packet pickup in the parking lot behind the the Oconee County Courthouse on Main Street in Watkinsville, starting at 7:30 a.m. (We accept checks, cash, and credit cards).
All drivers should park in the parking lot behind the the Oconee County Courthouse on Main Street in Watkinsville.
Teardrop jerseys will be available for sale on Friday evening and Saturday morning – $70, payable to IHNA.  (We accept checks, cash, and credit cards).  To help ensure that we have a jersey in your size, please contact me now.
We are offering five route options, all fully sagged and supported.  See the attached cue sheets, and the links below:
Riders must wear helmets.
Pre-ride mechanical checks will be provided by the Hub Bicycles at Rocket Field in Watkinsville.
All rides depart at 9 a.m. from Rocket Field in Watkinsville, 2 blocks from the parking area and adjacent to the OCAF complex. Lead-out and traffic support will be provided the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office and the Watkinsville Police Department – thank you very much!
Post-ride food will be available for purchase from Biggum’s Barbecue, starting at 11 a.m. at Rocket Field.
